Never to be Forgotten:Donna Douglas 1933-2015

 Donna Douglas has died at the age of 81 today, as reported by her family. She will be forever associated with the role of Elly Mae Clampett on The Beverly Hillbillies, but she is mentioned here for her most famous role on The Twilight Zone, as the "ugly" Janet Tyler in the episode titled Eye of the Beholder. She another smaller role on another Twilight Zone episode entitled Cavender Is Coming and was also on Project U.F.O. in the late 1970s.

While the Hillbillies were cornball fifty years ago and nearly unwatchable now, that does not change how beautiful Ms. Douglas was in her youth. Best wishes to the family and friends of Donna Douglas, from a wistful fan. She is never to be forgotten.
