Never to be Forgotten: Skye McCole Bartusiak 1992-2014 UPDATE

Skye McCole Bartusiak has died in her sleep at her Texas home. She was 21 and no cause of death has been given.

Most online obituaries are list her role in The Patriot starring Mel Gibson as her best known role. Her first role was in the genre mini-series Storm of the Century which aired in 1999, so she would have been 6 or 7. Her other roles in genre include The Darkling with F. Murray Abraham, Firestarter II and voice work in Lost.

I debated whether or not I should even post this. When a 21 year old dies in her sleep, "no cause given" is not an acceptable answer. If there is an update, I'll report back.

Later reports from her family say she suffered from epileptic seizures in the weeks before her death.
