Betsy Palmer, whose career started in the 1950s in big budget films like Mister Roberts, continued in the 1960s on TV as a regular panelist on I've Got a Secret, died on Friday at the age of 88. She is mentioned here because of what is now the role mentioned in the first paragraph in her obituary, her part as the camp cook in Friday the 13th and the first sequel. (Spoiler alert for a 35 year old movie: She's the killer's mom.)
She made no genre films or TV shows before Friday the 13th, but took other fantasy roles after, including parts in Bell Witch: The Movie, FreakyLinks, Still Not Quite Human, Goddess of Love and Out of This World. Often asked about her part in one of the first hugely successful slasher films, she admitted that she needed money for a new car. (She was paid $10,000 for ten days work.)
Best wishes to the family and friends of Betsy Palmer, from a fan. She is never to be forgotten.
Thanks for sharing, nice post! Post really provice useful information!

A true scholar could collect all the specific items that were the reason for an appearance. I recall the girl who played the robot-companion creation of the immortal that had been Chopin and other historical figures, on Star Trek, rolled her eyes at the insane show, but needed a refrigerator and range, something like that.
