Notes from the Birthday List.
1. The Picture Slot. Last year, I used a picture of Robert Picardo as The Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager, and I argued with myself whether he should be used again. He is a very hard working Oh That Guy, especially in genre. I can't be sure if he's at the "Hey, it's Abe Vigoda" level of fame or the "Hey, it's that holographic doctor!" level. In any case, not wanting to repeat, I used a picture of John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick from the Harry Potter films.
2. Wait... she's dead? I have no recollection of reading that Carrie Snodgress died about ten years ago. Checking out her obits, I didn't know about her relationships with Neil Young or Jack Nitzsche. I did remember her name from Diary of a Mad Housewife.
3. Spot the Canadians! There are four Canadian residents on the list today, three born after 1964 and one born before. The oldest one is hard to spot. Answers in the comments.
Many happy returns to all the living on the list and to the dead, thanks for all the memories.
Predictor: OMNI Future Almanac, published 1982
Prediction: Several black hole anomalies have been mentioned in astronomical journals, but none have been verified. There will be verification before 2000.
Reality: Full marks here. In 1994, the Hubble telescope verified a black hole in galaxy M87. Here is a link with more information.
Looking one day ahead... INTO THE FUTURE!
Back to the regular schedule, which means the comma free musings of FM-2030, enormous prat.
Join us then... IN THE FUTURE!
The three younger Canucks are Sebastian Gacki, Emilie Ullerup (born in Denmark and emigrated) and Monica Louwerens. Robert Picardo's career has tell tale sign of Candianity, but that is just a trap for the unwary. Angus MacInness is the fourth Canadian, and he hasn't been on Canadian genre TV at all.
