The rules of the group said you weren't supposed to talk about the still living unless there was some healthwatch on them. The two exceptions about discussing the dead were 1) baseball and 2) Tom Lehrer. The reason for the Prof. Lehrer exception was how often newbies would show up and ask "Is Tom Lehrer still alive?" the answer of course still being YES, bless him.
Prof. Hubbardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16575880031145705761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8247002493176705100.post-26245599784291049952014-10-08T18:42:14.155-07:002014-10-08T18:42:14.155-07:00Many are the Fabulous Babes, the iconic roles not ...Many are the Fabulous Babes, the iconic roles not so much. As for Dirty Old Manhood, the publicity stills of Bella Thorne are way too Come Hither for a 17 year old, in the never humble opinion of a guy old enough to be her grandfather.
Prof. Hubbardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16575880031145705761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8247002493176705100.post-65019271144450977512014-10-08T18:02:44.675-07:002014-10-08T18:02:44.675-07:00"Hey, it's a Canadian!"

Great pick for top spot. I noticed that you didn't mention the Dune movie in your accolades. That is such a polarizing flick, I certainly enjoyed it but not many people did. Yes, the book was splendid, and even though the movie was not faithful to it I still found it a treat.
As always, your blog is a great read, keep up the good work. BTW, I'm doing a tribute to the immortal, 86 years old!, Tom Lehrer on the show and the blog this week. You two have a lot in common. Another machine registers the number of hours he is at work. These records are transmitted to a central machine which automatically calculates his salary."

So, humans are supposedly the intelligence controlling the machine but THINKING (which requires no movement) is not rewarded, only hours in a chair and movements measured by a machine.

And as for "even manual labor is no longer considered degrading," I'd find it easier to believe if the prime example given in these super-futures was of sewer workers and septic tank repairmen rather than the usual office drones, or if everyone was required to do that work, kinda like jury duty.

Looks like Dylan Neal is another "Hey, it's a Canadian!" which would explain why he has been in so many genre projects.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
