I must have looked straight at it on imdb.com, but my brain refused to register.<br /><br />I agree 100% about the "pretty, but stupid" aspect of the movie. <i>Dune</i> joins <i>Catch-22</i> and <i>Nineteen Eighty Four</i> on my "please never film these books" list.<br /><br />It's not special effects that make these stories unfilmable. I have very mixed feelings about that film: basically, it's bloody awful, but it *looks* so darned good.
